Brembo Complete Carbon Ceramic Brake Upgrade BMW 1M 11-12

Carbon ceramic offers substantial benefits in terms of performance in both wet and dry conditions including weight, comfort, corrosion resistance, durability and high-tech appeal. One of the most obvious advantages to using Carbon Ceramic brakes is their exceptional fade resistance. Steel brakes tend to fade when temperatures rise toward the higher limits. At a stage this fade becomes a factor in driver feel. The amount of pressure needed on the brake pedal compromise responsiveness and the driver feels he can not slow the car anymore.

This high performance material, made from a special mixture of powders, resins and fibres in a complex manufacturing process, has been used since the 1970;s in braking systems for aerospace applications and since the 1980;s in motorsports. Since 2000, carbon ceramic has also been used in the production of braking systems for sports cars.

Another advantage to Brembo CCM Braking Systems is the substantial weight savings from their construction of lightweight materials. Nearly 22.5 lbs is removed from the car when fitting a complete Brembo CCM Package. As the brake system is located inside the wheel, it makes up a part of the ;unsprung; mass of the vehicle. The lighter the unpsrung mass, the more control the shock absorber has over the wheel and the better handling becomes. The lighter rotational weight leads to better acceleration and stopping.

This is a complete Front & Rear setup for all 2011-2012 BMW 1M vehicles.
