This particular package was put together for vehicles have the NNP option and it does not includes the Programmable Remote Control Kit. If your vehicle does not have NNP option, then order the exhaust system with the remote package.

Finally the long-awaited Capristo valve exhaust system for the Corvette is here!! It fits both Corvette Z06 and ZR1. This exhaust is a valve exhaust system, meaning it has two passages, or modes, that the exhaust can travel through the muffler. One side of the muffler is the quiet side, and one side is the loud side. The quiet side is a smaller, muffled and chambered tube, while the loud side is 4 inches (100mm) tubing straight through. Each of the mufflers has two outlets, with one side having a butterfly type valve which allows the exhaust flow to be shut off, regulating which side of the muffler the flows exhaust. The butterfly is controlled by a vacuum valve, which is built and developed completely by Capristo.

The problem is that the factory OEM exhaust is very quiet, even with the valve open. The experts at Capristo took the time to get the tone right for your Corvette, and we think they nailed this one. Even in the closed position, the tone is deeper, louder, and more aggressive. Open the valves, the overall volume and tone increases to the point heads will turn when you drive up.

Capristo has used the engine as the vacuum source (it is the same port the factory uses for the NPP) and the installation is simple and straight forward. No welding needed. Includes all hardware and complete mounting instructions.

On the Z06 and the 2008 C6 with the NPP option, the valve is controlled by the onboard ECU. The valve opens based on RPM and throttle position. If you do not have a Z06 or 2008 with NPP, you need to order the other exhaust package, which includes the programmable control kit. Not everybody has a Z06 or the 2008 with NPP. Capristo Exhaust developed a system with that in mind. With the onboard Programmable Remote Control Kit, you will be able to take full advantage of the valve exhaust system system. The kit come complete with all the wiring, wireless remote control, vacuum line, vacuum accumalter, and vacuum switch needed for installation.
