Minimizing unsprung weight is a critical factor in any competition-oriented wheel design and one of the greatest engineering challenges. Lower wheel mass decreases resistance to accelerative, braking and suspension forces, and effectively improves handling dynamics. But not all vehicles are created equal; hub sizes and bolt patterns differ and optimal wheel mass cant be achieved with one wheel fit to every vehicle.
