Exhaust headers direct the hot exhaust gasses from the heads to the collector. Factory exhaust headers are built to minimize costs and sound. The factory header essentially chokes the turbo underneath the hood of your Subaru. Invidia has designed this header to provide more horsepower and torque than the stock unit. Invidia achieved this with larger diameter piping, smoother bends, and superior welds. Improving airflow is key to attaining more power, especially in turbo applications. The complex layout of a horizontally opposed turbo engine means there are a lot of bends in the system. The Invidia header minimizes these bends and was designed with performance in mind. Not only will this header provide more power, the free breathing exhaust will give your Subaru a more aggressive tone throughout the RPM range.
